A Championship, the 1951 Ryder Cup, The 1999 & 2005 U.S. Men’s Opens, the 2008 U.S. Men’s Amateur, and countless Junior and Amateur events.  While golf put Pinehurst on the map, the quiet serenity of of area, along with mild weather and a great variety of shopping, dining and cultural activities makes Pinehurst the perfect destination.  Quaint shops, pubs and restaurants make the village a very unique place.

Just East of Pinehurst is the delightful town of Southern Pines which also boasts a substantial golf pedigree.  Southern Pines is also well known as a major equestrian community and the town’s charming tree-lined main street is home to cafes, pubs and gourmet restaurants.

Moore County is a truly unique community with exceptional attributes and opportunities. A center of golf for our nation, the area attracts visitors from around the world to enjoy its 42 courses.   Pinehurst #2 was the home of the 1999 & 2005 Men’s U.S. Open.  Just down the road, Pine Needles hosted the 1996, 2001 and 2007 Women’s U.S. Open.  In a recent, unprecedented announcement by the USGA, both the Men’s and Women’s U.S. Open Championships will return to Pinehurst #2 in 2014 on consecutive weeks.! In addition, the area is well known for both Tennis and Equestrian events.
